The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, received at his office today, Ambassador Mohammad Wali Naeemi, the Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the OIC.
During the meeting, the Ambassador formally handed over a letter of invitation addressed to the Secretary General by H. E. the President of Afghanistan inviting him to pay an official visit to Afghanistan. The Secretary General and his guest took the opportunity to discuss the current situation in Afghanistan and the latest parliamentary elections.
Accepting the invitation, the Secretary General conveyed his appreciation to the President of Afghanistan and informed the Ambassador that a mutually convenient date for the visit will be finalized soon.
