The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), strongly condemns the approval given by the Israeli Occupation’s authorities for the plan to construct 2000 new settlement housing units in the occupied city of Al Quds / Jerusalem.
The OIC Secretary General, Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, underlined that the Israeli settlement policy is illegal under international law and represents a blatant violation of the relevant international legitimacy resolutions as well as a manifest aggression on the rights of the Palestinian people. Dr. Al-Othaimeen also called on the international community, and particularly the UN Security Council, to take decisive and firm measures to put an end to the Israeli settlement policies which are susceptible to undermine the Two-State solution.
