OIC Organizes Global Cultural Week in Partnership with International Islamic University Malaysia

The Organisatiou of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) are co-organising the OIC- IIUM Global Cultural Program and Value Based Leadership Training (Youth Cultural Empowerment Program 2017) from 27th November – 1st December 2017. The cultural program will be held at the International Islamic University Malaysia.

“The Global Cultural Program is an integrated program consisting of several cultural activities and trainings, said Mehla Talebna, Director General of the OIC’s Culture, Social and Family Affairs Department.

“It will provide a unique opportunity for youth leaders from the OIC member countries to nurture their talents and life exposure,” she added.

The program is designed to expose youth leaders across the Islamic World to the importance of youth empowerment values, leadership and cultural expressions. It aspires towards creating and sharing environment where youth leaders will find opportunities to empower themselves with cultural activities, knowledge, skills, right attitudes and approaches to life challenges. Additionally, it will serve as an international platform for institutions of culture, education and learning in the OIC member countries to groom and train their talents in the area of applied virtues, value based leadership and cultural expressions.

Specifically, the event consists of two integrated components: Two days Value Based Leadership Training: Incorporating Values in Youth Leaders (My Akhlaq 2017), and Cultural performances program, including exhibitions on arts and traditions that reflect the cultural diversity of the OIC member countries.
