The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) denounced in the strongest terms the Car bomber attack near a port in the Somali capital of Mogadishu on 11/12/2016, which claimed the lives of scores of innocent people and injured dozens of others.
The OIC Secretary General, Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, offered his condolences to the families of the victims and to the people and Government of Somalia following this tragic attack, wishing the wounded prompt recovery. He also condemned the perpetrators of this monstrous crime who are enemies of Islam and who seek to undermine the ongoing elections in Somalia.
Dr. Al-Othaimeen reiterated the OIC’s firm position that condemns all forms of terrorism and violent extremism, reaffirming the OIC’s solidarity with Somalia.
