The Organization of Islamic Cooperation Condemns the Terrorist Bombing in the Southern Suburb of the Lebanese Capital

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), has strongly condemned the two terrorist attacks that took place Thursday, 12 November 2015, in the area of Burj Al Barajna in the Lebanese Capital Beirut, leading to the death and injury of dozens of civilians. The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Iyad Ameen Madani described the bombing as a terrorist attack targeting the security and stability of Lebanon and terrorizing innocents. The OIC Secretary General called on all Lebanese political and civilian components to exercise wisdom and restraint and work together to overcome differences and support the constitutional institutions in the country, so that all those who seek to drag Lebanon into a cycle of violence and tension through such acts of terror will fail. The Secretary General extended his condolences to the families of the victims as well as to the people of Lebanon, and wished quick recovery to the wounded. The Secretary General further reiterated the principled position of the OIC that vigorously denounces terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
