The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Iyad Ameen Madani, congratulated the people of the Ivory Coast Republic for the successful conduct of Presidential elections, which was held on Sunday 25 of October 2015 under the supervision and control of the Independent Electoral Commission and international Observers and international and regional organizations, including the OIC. Madani called the Ivory Coast people to continue democratic practices for the advent of the development, peace, security, national reconciliation and good governance in the country.
