The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr. Iyad Ameen Madani, congratulated the people of the Kyrgyz Republic for the successful conduct of Parliamentary election which was held on 04 October 2015. The OIC observers monitored the election process in Bishkek and neighboring towns and observed, with satisfaction, that the electoral process was conducted in a transparent, democratic and professional manner, in conformity with Kyrgyz election laws as well as the internationally accepted norms. Mr. Madani commended the great sense of maturity and responsibility displayed by the people of Kyrgyzstan through this election to stand along with the principles of democracy, rule of law, transparency and good governance. He expressed his confidence that the success of the Parliamentary election would further contribute to strengthen democratic practices and institutions for the development and prosperity of the country and its people.
