The OIC Secretary General Bids Farewell to the Ambassador of the Republic of Mali

The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Mr. Iyad Ameen Madani, received on 14 September 2015 at the OIC General Secretariat, Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Lebbat, Ambassador of the Republic of Mali to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Permanent Representative to the OIC, who came to bid him farewell upon the completion of his diplomatic mission. The meeting provided an opportunity for the two sides to review the situation in the Republic of Mali and emphasize the need to find solutions to the current crisis in the country. The Malian Ambassador commended OIC’s positive position on the issue of Mali and reiterated his country’s gratitude to the OIC for the efforts it exerts in this vein. The Ambassador renewed his county’s commitment to the programs and activities of the OIC and expressed his willingness to continue his efforts from his new position to promote relations between the OIC and the Republic of Mali. For his part, the Secretary General commended the Ambassador for his constant efforts and active participation in the meetings and activities of the OIC and for his invaluable contributions in consolidating ties with the OIC. He finally wished him success in his new position.
