The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu stressed that the OIC has not deviated from its firm position on the implications and developments in Syria, which was clearly reflected in all press releases issued by the OIC since the beginning of the crisis and up to now. A delegation from the European Parliament visited the OIC General Secretariat today, November 29, 2011, and exchanged views with senior OIC officials. The Director General of the Cabinet and Chief Advisor to the Secretary General, Ambassador Vefahan Ocak, welcomed the delegation and briefed them about the OIC, its departments and functions....

The Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu completed his official visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and left the Island on 29 November 2011. During his visit to TRNC, Secretary General Ihsanoglu was received by H.E. Dervis Eroglu, President, H.E. Dr. Hasan Bozer, Speaker of the Parliament, H.E. Dr. Irsen Kucuk, Prime Minister, and had bilateral meetings with H.E. Huseyin Ozgurgun, Foreign Minister and H.E. Kemal Durust, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports. The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, sent a message to the meeting of the United Nations on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
