L’OCI invite l’opposition syrienne à se concerter lors de la prochaine réunion de ses dirigeants à Riyad

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has called on all factions of the Syrian opposition to seize the occasion of the upcoming meeting of leaders of the Syrian opposition to be hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the next few days to agree on an action plan and a consensual programme representing a common position of all Syrian opposition factions. The OIC Secretary General, Iyad Ameen Madani, appealed to the Syrian opposition leaders to close ranks and make the legitimate demands of the Syrian people for change, reform and reconstruction of institutions of the Syrian state on the basis of democracy, justice and national unity the key objectives for the desired political resolution track as part of the implementation of the Geneva 1 communiqué. The Secretary General renewed the readiness of the OIC to support and back all international and regional efforts aimed at finding a political solution to the Syrian crises and ending the plight of the Syrian people.
