UPM’s School of Graduate Studies (SGS)

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation highly appreciate the offer of 10 scholarships received from the University of Putra Malaysia (UPM), under the OIC Educational Exchange Programme ( HYPERLINK "http://www.oic-oci.org/external_web/eep/index.html" http://www.oic-oci.org/external_web/eep/index.html ):

(i) International Graduate Research Fellowship (IGRF) : 5 places
(ii) UPM Postgraduate Scheme for International Students (PSIS) : 5 places

Those candidates residing in OIC member States will be eligible to apply who have been offered full admission to PhD programme at UPM for February intake 2013/2014.

Terms of scholarships

International Graduate research Fellowship (IGRF) entails tuition fee waiver and a monthly stipend amounting to RM 1700/-. UPM Postgraduate Scheme for International Students (PSIS) will only include tuition fee waiver. Both scholarships will not cover airfare, and visa and pass related fee.

Duration: PhD programme: Maximum 6 semesters

Application procedure

Candidates can apply for admission to UPM through School of Graduate Studies online portal at http://www.sgs.upm.edu.my The admission application shall be processed and scrutinized at UPM based on requirements set by UPM.

(ii) The scholarship form can be downloaded from UPM International Portal http://sgsportal.upm.edu.my/portal/page?_pageid=116,1,116_34141&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL
(iii) A candidate shall submit the scholarship application form and full admission offer letter to the OIC General Secretariat.
(iv) OIC Secretariat will notify the successful candidates.

Deadline for submission of applications

After having applied directly for admission to UPM online (http://www.sgs.upm.edu.my) and obtained UPM admission offer letter, the admission offer letter and scholarship application form should be submitted to the OIC General Secretariat no later than 15 November 2012 at the following address:
