The Secretary General of the OIC, Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, has strongly condemned the recent series of terrorist attacks in Pakistan on 12 March and in Afghanistan on 13 March 2010 which killed and wounded dozens of innocent people including women and children.

While conveying his profound condolences to the families of the victims and the Governments of Pakistan and Afghanistan, the secretary General prayed for the quick recovery of the injured.

The Secretary General further reiterated that nothing can justify any terrorist act which jeopardizes lives of innocent people and appealed to the relevant authorities to bring perpetrators of these atrocious acts to justice.
