The Organization of Islamic Cooperation strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Stockholm on Friday, 7 April 2017. The OIC Secretary General, Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen, who was shocked by the incident, expressed the solidarity and support of OIC with the government and people of Sweden over this tragedy. He reiterated that those who are behind this heinous crime are enemies of humanity and should therefore be brought to justice.
Al-Othaimeen conveyed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims, the government and people of Sweden, and prayed for the quick recovery of the injured.
The Secretary General, while recalling the principled position of the OIC on terrorism, reiterated the determination of the Organization to continue its engagement with the international community for theeradication of this dangerous phenomenon.
